Julie Guo

Partner of JS Law, Former Chair of Asian Practice Committee of New York County Lawyer Association, New York

Ms. Julie is a founding partner of the New York Office of JS Law. JS Law is a full-service global law firm. Located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, the firm is seamlessly connected with over 5,000 lawyers in over 60 offices around the globe to help solve clients’ legal problems.

Before joining JS Law, she worked with top 100 American law firms including Troutman Sanders. Her practice focuses on cross-border corporate and securities, E-commerce and Amazon sellers, litigation, and arbitration.

Before coming to the US, Julie practiced law in China. She is fluent in Mandarin. She has a comprehensive understanding of Chinese and U.S. laws, economy, politics, cultural systems, and she has more than 20 years of rich experience in practicing Chinese and U.S. laws. She has already published 4 books. Julie received her law degree from the law school of the University of Georgia.

Judge Kenneth H. Kato

    Judge Ken Kato graduated from the University of Washington in 1971 with a B.A. in psychology and in 1975 with a law degree. As an undergraduate, Judge Kato’s greatest claim to 15 minutes of fame was playing freshman and varsity tennis for the UW. A Spokane native, Judge Kato returned to the city after law school and was in private practice for 13 years before becoming a commissioner of the Court of Appeals, Division Three, in 1988. Governor Mike Lowry appointed Judge Kato to the Spokane County Superior Court in 1996. In 1997, Governor Gary Locke appointed Judge Kato to the Court of Appeals. Judge Kato left the bench in 2007 to return to private practice in the State of Washington.

Michele Haaseth

Michele M. Haaseth has over 20 years of legal experience. She has proven to be a zealous advocate for all of her clients both in and out of court. With her extensive legal knowledge and significant practical experience, Ms. Haaseth helps her clients understand their options so they can make an informed decision. Kenneth Eade

Kenneth Eade is an international business lawyer, based in Los Angeles, California, specializing in Internet and E-Commerce Law, Intellectual Property law, Trademark and Copyright, Transactional and Corporate Law, Contract Law, and general and commercial business law matters. He has experience of over 30 years in these practice areas. He is a member of the Bar of California, the federal District Court for the Central District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. He holds a Juris Doctor in Law from Southwestern Law School, and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge. He is also a political novelist, having authored over 18 books.

Sunny Wu

Sunny is licensed in the State of New Jersey, the state of New York, and the Province of Ontario, Canada. In the past years, she managed general practice primarily engaged in civil litigations and business acquisitions. She also represented individuals and small business owners in civil and commercial litigation and real estate transactions. She received her JD degree from the law school of the University of Florida.

Simon Spangler

Litigation and Antitrust Attorney, Co-Counsel, Germany, EU

Simon specializes in EU and German antitrust law, in particular restrictive practices, prohibition of abuse as well as merger control, distribution law, and e-commerce and beyond those subsidies and state aid. He advises national and international companies in various sectors, including trade and consumer goods. He helped an Amazon seller to win the case in the early stage after the seller account blocking in 2021.

He studied law in Heidelberg and Kiel where he received his doctorate with his dissertation on an antitrust law topic under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jickeli. Thereafter, he continued his studies at the University of Aberdeen and the University of Cape Town (LL.M.) and wrote his Master's thesis on an antitrust law topic.

Robert Dougans

Robert is experienced in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution. Described as “a brilliant young lawyer” by the journalist Nick Cohen, Robert has unusually extensive experience of heavily contested trials and applications such as freezing injunctions and jurisdiction challenges. He is a particular expert in cross-border litigation and fraud/asset tracing cases.

Robert has a degree from Oxford University (Oriel College), speaks good German and rusty Russian, and is a qualified Solicitor-Advocate.

Sun is an experienced business and litigation attorney in Paris, France. He is a Member of the Association of Lawyers in Real Estate Transaction (AAMTI). He received his Ph.D. in International Commercial Law from University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1).

Ron Xie

IP and Litigation Attorney, Co-Counsel, New York and Shanghai

Ron’s practice involves patent and trademark prosecution, patent interference, technology transfer, IP-related business transactions, and cross-the-border investments. Over the years, he has advised clients in various industries including automotive electronics systems, building materials, construction, chemistry, fashion, and software. He led international transactions and have represented the both domestic and foreign client. Ron also assists in teaching IP classes at CUNY law school by preparing course materials and giving lectures.

Ron has a bachelor’s degree of law from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (formerly known as “Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade”) (Shanghai, China), a master’s degree of law from Washington University in St. Louis (Missouri, U.S.), and a master degree of science in computer science from Pace University (New York, U.S.). He is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the State of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
